A gem stone ring is quite common these days, but the gradual evolution of designs for gem stone rings is very interesting. Reputed jewellers offer both silver and gold gem stone rings with high end craftsmanship. Designers and buyers are now aware that certain gemstones look better in white gold while others are more suited for yellow gold. For example a gem stone ring in white gold that uses a very deep blue sapphire, will make the gemstone appear very dark and nearly black. This is because the color of the white gold contrasts heavily with the dark colored gemstone. The choice of yellow or white gold for your gemstone rings would be a personal preference, but knowing which gems suit a particular gold color can help you make a decision.
